I saw this card design on Patty Bennett’s facebook page. Although I’ve used this card design many times- I hadn’t made it using the New Horizon’s Designer Series Paper- and it really does steal the show! I knew I had to give it a try!
I recreated the two cards that she had made- then I made one more and added lots of floral elements, fences and other elements. I love how it turned out!
The card base is a ‘Z’ Fold card- 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – fold in half and then fold the front piece back on itself.
New Horizons Designer Series Paper- cut the 6″ x 6″ piece down to 5 1/4″ x 6″.
Think about where you want to cut down the paper- either the top or bottom of the design.
For some papers I cut off 1/2″ at the top and 1/4″ at the bottom- it all depends on the piece that you choose.

I’m getting ready to make the card that uses the fence. I noticed in your written directions that you said to cut 1/” from one side and 1/4″ from the other. It appears that the number 2 is missing under the / mark. I was getting ready to cut 1″ off and realized it should be 1/2″. I thought you might want to change that. Thanks for sharing your tutorial. I can’t wait to make this!
