Here is the video showing how to create these cards: (available on the web version)

There’s something magical about creating a beautiful winter scene on a card, and these designs are a wonderful example of how winter doesn’t have to mean Christmas! Soft evergreens, woodland animals and those gorgeous deep blue-green tones create cards that can easily become birthday, thinking-of-you, thank-you, sympathy or holiday cards simply by changing the sentiment. I especially love the texture in the backgrounds and the layered trees—they give these cards that peaceful, outdoorsy feeling while still having plenty of WOW!

One of the techniques featured in these cards is the Baby Wipe Technique, a fun way to create beautifully blended, one-of-a-kind colour combinations. By adding drops of reinker to a folded baby wipe, you create your own custom multicoloured ink pad—perfect for stamping those gorgeous trees with natural variations in colour. And, of course, I couldn’t resist adding a WOW fun fold! The curved winter-village card turns that beautiful snowy scene into something extra special, while still keeping the overall design elegant and very doable.
And here’s a little sneak peek at what’s coming in my November card class! These two cards will be included in the class! We’ll be playing with beautiful winter imagery, interesting techniques, texture and cards with a little unexpected WOW. Best of all, these designs aren’t limited to one season or occasion. Change the greeting and you have a beautiful card ready for almost anyone on your list. I can’t wait to share more details about the November class—this is going to be a fun one!
