Woodgrain Valentine’s Day Cards
Who said Valentine’s Day cards have to be pink? Here I have used some of my favourite woodgrain and natural products to design two cards that I’m sure you would want to send to someone special! Although each are a little different, they both use the Sure Do Love You Bundle as well as the Heart Happiness photoplymer stamp set. I have listed all of the products I have used in the Supply List below.
For the first card I used Wood Textures Designer Series Paper as the background- layered up on Early Espresso card stock. The base for both cards is crumb cake card stock. I used two pieces of the 5/8″ burlap ribbon with linen thread in the middle- I cut it long enough to tie a little bow.
For the seond card I used the woodgrain embossing folder and embossed the actual card front. I then used the woodgrain paper to make a banner- and layered it with another banner made from the burlap ribbon. The hearts and word banners were stamped and cut using framelits- except the little heart which I fussy cut.
When it comes to traditional holidays- it is fun to think outside the box and use less traditional colours. I think these cards would wow anyone who received them!
