One of the new products in the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalogue coming out January 3rd is Brusho Crystal Colours. These watercolour ink crystals mix with water to make watercolour washes and designs. Although the product is new to Stampin’ Up- Brusho has been around for a while. They come in a set of 5 colours: Brilliant Red, Gamboge (orange), Moss Green, Prussian Blue and Yellow.
This was my first attempt playing with the crystals- the trick is to be patient and try not to mix it around- but let the water and the crystals do their magic. For my card I used the Prussian Blue. It only takes a very small amount of the crystals to get this beautiful vibrant colour. I added some Wink of Stella tapped on to give the sky a glittery effect.
My card also has the cute little wizard from the new Magical Day stamp set (save 10% when you bundle it with the framelits). I used the blend markers to colour the wizard. I attempted to silver heat emboss some stars but I wasn’t happy with how they turned out so I added these sequin ones.
I think this suite is my favourite from the new catalogue- the suite also includes some gorgeous sparkly designer series paper and washi tape, as well as 6×6 glitter paper!! Who knew I loved sparkles so much! The set also includes mermaids, dragons and unicorns!

I’m fairly new to Brusho myself, it’s a really unique and interesting medium. I love what you’ve done with it. 🙂
