I had a lot of fun creating with the It Starts With Art (Bundle # 151090) in the Annual Catalogue. It is a whimsical set and perfect for designing cards for the crafty people in your life! I made a selection of cards using the beautiful Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper (#149489). The designer series paper makes the cards quick and easy to design and assemble- because the paper is the star of the cards! I also cut out some buttons and trims using the dies. They are fun and easy to use. The images of the ribbon and pens I cut out using the dies and coloured them using my Stampin’ Blends (flirty flamingo, Bermuda bay, crumb cake and daffodil delight).
To make your cards extra special, add a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the back flap of your envelope!
To make my feature card:
Coastal cabana cardstock cut at 6 3/4 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper 2 3/8 x 5 3/8- adhere to front flap
Coastal Cabana cardstock to cut out the square using the Stitched Shapes dies
Whisper White cardstock to cut out the smaller square using the smaller Stitched Shaped Dies
Adhere a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 whisper white onto the inside of the card.
Add a cut out of the button trim to the inside of the card so that it is still showing.
Stamp the image of the ribbon from the stamp set It Starts With Art; cut out using the dies
Using the dies, cut out some buttons and trims using coastal cabana and calypso coral cardstock
Stamp the greeting from the It Starts With Art stamp set using coastal cabana ink
Add some Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins
Use a coordinating piece of the designer series paper to cover the back of your envelope
Here are a few more cards I made using this bundle!
These cards feature the Designer Series paper and some elements cut out using the Arts & Crafts Dies.
This card was made using a design called the Drapery fold- stay tuned for a video showing this technique.
Thanks for stopping by- and make today a creative one!
