I LOVE when all the sunflowers and rudbeckia are blooming in my gardens! I decided to create some cards that were inspired by these garden giants! I used the Medium Daisy Punch (149517) for these cards. These punches are so very versatile- I have used them for so many different cards! I wonder if they will come out with a large or small daisy punch????
Medium Daisy Punch meets Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper!
For this card I used a crumb cake card base 5 1/2 x 7 scored at 4 1/4.
So Saffron cardstock 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 embossed using the Subtle 3D folder (#151775)
Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (#149500) 2 x 5 1/4 and a 2 1/4 x 6 piece for the envelope flap
Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (#149485) cut at 30″ and wrapped around twice- then tied in a bow
The sentiment ‘Friend’ is from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set (#149325)
The 6 daisies are punched out of So Saffron cardstock using the Medium Daisy Punch (#149517)
The daisy centres are coloured using the Sponge Daubers (#133773) and Canjun Craze ink (#147085) – I glued 3 daisies on each side of the card flap starting with the middle one so they are centered
The daisy centres are the Perennial Essence Floral Centres (#149442) that I coloured using the Canjun Craze Light Blends Marker (#144907)
I’m sure you know a friend who would love to receive this card!
Sunflowers & Rudbeckia
These cards are the same Z-Fold design and both use the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (#149500) and theMedium Daisy Punch (#149517). I designed the flowers a little differently based on the different ones in my gardens. I’ve noticed that not all sunflowers and rudbeckia have the same centres or petal patterns.
For the first card I punched out four daisies using the medium daisy punch. I took a Sponge Dauber (#133773) and early espresso ink and dabbed the edges of the petals.
For the centres I used the Perennial Essence Floral Centres (#149442); in the first card I used my Early Espresso Blends marker to colour the centres. I left the ones on the second card the colour that they come in.
The leaves are punched out of pear pizzazz cardstock using the Leaf Punch (#144667).
For the second card I used 22″ of Braided Linen Trim (#147808) to wrap around the card and then tied a bow.
The envelope flap on the second card is stamped using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set (#149325) and so saffron ink.
The sentiments are from the August Paper Pumpkin Kit.
